Kris has been tattooing for nearly 28 years, specializing in neo-traditional Japanese and American styles, as well as bold ornamental and illustrative black and gray. With a deep appreciation for the craft, Kris takes pride in being able to work across a wide range of tattoo styles while bringing the same level of care and creativity to every piece.

Kris began his tattooing career in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 1999 before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 2001. During his time in Texas, Kris began connecting with influential tattooers and traveling throughout the United States and Europe, gaining experience and inspiration from artists around the world.

In 2010, Kris moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where he spent more than 14 years tattooing alongside some of the best artists in the industry. Those experiences continued to challenge and shape Kris as an artist, helping him develop the distinctive style and versatility he brings to his work today.

In 2024, Hurricane Helene destroyed Kris’ home, job, and much of the community he had built in Asheville, forcing Kris and his family to relocate. With family in Charleston, they were able to build a new home in the area and found a welcoming new community at Abracadabra Tattoo Club.
